Toby Carvery - Hoole Village

Lovely place with plenty of parking. Sadly, some of the Carvery was drying out due to being left out too long. Very dried out crispy Yorkshire puddings, peas, carrots, and parsnips dried out from the heat lamp/ not being rotated/replaced. This was a shame as the venue and staff are lovely.

We are regulars and I'm always amazed on occasions like Mother's Day, when the service remains fantastic, the food hot and plentiful, and the drinks delivered promptly and with a smile. The staff have always been wonderful. This Mother's Day, in particular, we were lucky enough to have Georgia as our server. She couldn't have done anything more to help us enjoy our meal, and Georgia's attentiveness, promptness all delivered with a friendly smile and attitude - it's this kind of service that keeps us coming back.

When I lived in Chester I used to come here all the time so this was my first visit for over 21 years. Soon as we arrived we were taken to our table and our drink order was taken by a very helpful waitress. We went straight up to the carvery so no waiting for our food to arrive a big bonus when you're hungry and a very friendly guy called Ste craved a generous helping of meat and all the rest I piled on my plate was nicely cooked and in a clean tidy food display. This place also comes with 5 stars hygiene rating I always check before I eat anywhere and one of the staff was cleaning up the bar area so good to see. The interior of the restaurant and tables were clean and maintained. The carvery was really enjoyable and Leah and her colleagues couldn't do enough for us. We even paid at the table and not having go up to the bar. So if you want good food at a great price and service give it ago and like us you'll be back. So like their hygiene rating it's 5 stars back. Good work guys
