The Alchemist is famous for their creative cocktails and delicious dining. Experience their decadent Alchemy Cocktail Brunch, available every weekend.

Cocktails are created with an obsessive eye for detail, presented in mystical vessels delivering theatre for every guest. The bartenders know how to put on a show and guarantee to charm and entertain. Try the guest favourite 'Colour Changing One' where you conjure the drink by mixing yourself and watch the liquid change from blue to pink before your very eyes. Or try the show-stopping Cherry Poppins. This gin-based cocktail is served with a cherry fog bubble ready for you to burst and release its aromas. It's a scientific lab waiting to be discovered.

The food is special too with a menu served from breakfast until late evening. The menu is an eclectic mix of classic dishes with an Alchemist twist. Favourites include Katsu Curry, Smoking Boards, Curried Fish and Steak. Why not try their weekend Alchemy Cocktail Brunch, every weekend from 10am. Choose three cocktails and any brunch dish, with the option of making drinks bottomless for just £10 extra!

The Alchemist can be found within Cheltenham's famous Brewery Quarter.

We stopped by The Alchemist in Cheltenham for pre-dinner drinks, and it seems to live up to what it claims to be. They promise an experience, with a little theatre and a little magic, and that’s what you get. From the moment you walk in, there’s a sense you’re in for something different. We ordered a range of drinks, some in metal oyster shells, one with smoke and bubbles and one that changed colours as you added the liquids yourself. But it’s not just gimmicks, every cocktail we tried was genuinely delicious, well-balanced, and while some the drink prices are expensive, it is hard to know what you’re comparing the price to, both with respects to the ingredients and the spectacle. For anyone who hasn’t been, it’s worth a visit for a special occasion or an evening out with a special person. If you’re not sure what you and your date will talk about, the novelty factor of your first order will get the conversation started. If you’re less worried about that and just want to try something different, The Alchemist will definitely fit the bill. If you’re in Cheltenham and haven’t been yet, I’d encourage you to find a reason to swing by. Get a cocktail, enjoy the show, and start your night off with something special. I’m glad we did.

Really good venue both for drinks in the evening, and for brunch. The brunch is a bit more pricey than some places in Cheltenham, but worth it I think and on a par with some of the other nicer venues. Staff are always friendly and the food is excellent. Recommended to others already.

Great place, food was really good. Wine was superb and waiting staff were friendly and attentive, complete opposite experience I had at The Botanist which was opposite. If you are going to choose between the two. Go to The Alchemist.
