At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel Du Vin Cheltenham is situated just a short stroll from the town's fashionable shopping street, The Promenade, in the chic Montpellier district.

EDIT - The hotel management were kind enough to reach out and we stayed again to see if things had improved. The receptionist (I didn’t get his name) was professional and friendly. The waitress for breakfast was great as well! Much improved! Only issue I would say is 1) Room was cold and hard to heat (esp bathroom) and the TV didn’t allowed us to connect to Netflix etc which in 2024 seems a bit outdated. I have removed previous comments as no longer relevant but hotel and rooms are lovely in a great location.

Hotel is very nice and well presented at first. Let me explain, reception very cosy I think is the right way to describe it. Some reception can be very cold and process driven if you know what I mean. Room very nice and the bathroom has to be one of the biggest I have seen top marks. Our first meal. We had our main course which was very tasty and I ordered my sweet at the same time tart tatin. This was around 7.30 had our main meal and waited until nearly 9pm by which time I had to ask where the sweet was. The staff where very apologetic (and I have to say the staff at this hotel were very friendly). Outside they have seating areas and although it was very quiet I would have thought they would have kept it clean. We had to search through the chairs to find a clean one. We paid for dinner as well and don't understand why they don't have a separate menu for customers who pay for DBB, as nearly everything had a supplyment payment why? Breakfast I must say excellent with a great fresh selection my cooked breakfast was very good and cooked as I had requested (fussy with my eggs). I thought £25 for dog per night for metal bowl and dog bed that was to small throughout trip across all the hotels we stayed this was by for the dearest. Also didn't know about the £10 a night to park car. I asked when I arrived could I park outside and was told yes but no mention of the charges. If I had known I would have parked in the hotel.
