At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel Du Vin Cheltenham is situated just a short stroll from the town's fashionable shopping street, The Promenade, in the chic Montpellier district.

Very nice hotel With good blend of modern and period feel. Upgraded room was excellent with huge bathroom with roll top bath & walk in shower. Bed very comfortable. Great food in restaurant although service a little slow and no appreciation for wine service /times to match with meal courses. Overall would stay again.

We stayed for two nights with our dog in-between Xmas and NY. The room was nice but I was disappointed that we didn't have twin baths as I had chosen to pay the extra for the opportunity for this, informed that it was a first come first served. I had a 'chat' before we arrived on the website asking for a twin bath on our booking but this was a chat bot as I found out. Shame, I should of tried to call hotel directly and spoken to a human to avoid this. Staff friendly, did try to move us but all was full. Our room seemed to be an accessable one due to a huge bathroom with grab rails which we did not need and we were right next to the main generators. This did not bother my partner but I am a very light sleeper and needed my ear plugs. We did not eat at the hotel, there were loads of restaurants and cafes in the area. We did enjoy a few drinks in the bar which was pleasant. The location is brilliant, within walking distance to everything.

EDIT - The hotel management were kind enough to reach out and we stayed again to see if things had improved. The receptionist (I didn’t get his name) was professional and friendly. The waitress for breakfast was great as well! Much improved! Only issue I would say is 1) Room was cold and hard to heat (esp bathroom) and the TV didn’t allowed us to connect to Netflix etc which in 2024 seems a bit outdated. I have removed previous comments as no longer relevant but hotel and rooms are lovely in a great location.
