The Ivy Cambridge Brasserie is part of The Ivy Collection, which remains true to the values of the original Ivy restaurant, famous for its celebrity clientele and superior dining experience. Interiors feature sumptuous Art-Deco detail, marble floors and striking burnt orange banquettes.

Breakfast at The Ivy is a relaxed yet sophisticated experience. Start off with a choice of refreshing juices or coolers while you choose from a range of Breakfast options including The Ivy Full English Breakfast or one of the light and healthy plates. The Breakfast menu also includes a range of teas and coffees.

Brunch is a more decadent affair with starters such as the Truffle Tagliolini followed by the Smoked Haddock and Salmon Fishcake as a main course. For an extra indulgent experience, why not enjoy a cocktail from a Watermelon & Strawberry Bellini to a Salted Caramel Espresso Martini or a glass of Champagne with your Brunch?

The Ivy Sunday Roast is served with all the trimmings. Indulge in rosemary roasted potatoes, green beans with almonds, carrot and swede mash and a Yorkshire pudding finished with a red wine gravy.

The interior mixes gorgeous Oriental bloom prints and a botanical theme with glamorous and sleek touches such as a marble top bar and soft leather seating. The Ivy Cambridge Brasserie is just a short distance from Cambridge Rail Station.

Service: Fast, attentive service. Waiters are switched on, observant and ready know their job. Drink, food orders and other requests are immediately handled. Attentive and not pushy. They’re smartly turned out and polite. I’d even say, quite slick in their service. Food: Excellent menu, sophisticated and well blended layers of flavour, texture and presentation well executed with care any attention. Some dishes have an element of theatre in their presentation. Steaks are well cooked. Cuts are pretty good. Sirloin excellent. Rib eye on the bone not worth the extra (go with the sirloin) due to fat content. Taste is bang on par. Coffee and Stilton are also par excellence. Atmosphere: 1930’s art deco / almost dada colourful style. Good linen. Good silverware and crockery in keeping with the whole experience. Candle lit tables by evening and the lights lower by the hour. The atmosphere is relaxed yet somewhat formal. Easy to have a good time. Summary: class but not pretentious. Not Michelin star - but not as common and bland as your normal chain, even the nicer ones. Great food. Great complimentary service. Restrooms have the scent of amber. Service charge is steep - and automatically added to your bill. Recommended, for a treat as it is expensive for what you are getting (dinner). Particularly recommended if you like your food and wish to be treated extremely well in surroundings that deliver on what you’d say “is a seriously nice place”.

Excellent service. No worries whatsoever. We are an older couple who love the rich flavours and very tasty food. Alcohol is priced accordingly to being in the centre of Cambridge. (£14 gin and tonic. Cocktails) However a hearty appetite ( my two sons of 40 and 43) would be left hungry. No worries for us on that score.

Booked in to the Ivy to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We decided to have the Christmas set menu and were very happy with this. They also brought us a cute little anniversary choux bun. The only thing I was a bit saddened by was the choices for non alcoholic drinks. They didn't have what I asked for and the choices were fairly limited. But otherwise, no issues at all, and this was minor!
