Pint Shop in Cambridge should be a definite port-of-call for any Sunday Roast fan, as warm and inviting as it is inventive.

Through renovating an abandoned grade II-listed post office, they’ve given this classical building (which once housed E.M. Forster) a modern facelift since it opened back in 2013.

Inside there’s a muted palette of warm browns, greys and white, a soothing oasis of calm perfect for gathering friends and family and tucking into a leisurely feast. During sunnier climes, why not aim for the lovely courtyard out back?

Devour a lovely 3-course Sunday Roast at Pint Shop, where you can choose between one, two or three courses.

Choose between rare roast Jagyu beef & Yorkshire pudding, overnight pork belly & Yorkshire pudding, or sweet potato nut roast. All served with roast potatoes, greens, roasted fennel & carrots.

Fantastic city center pub! The chef was incredibly kind and went out of their way to adjust my meal to suit my preferences, which is rare these days. The food was delicious, and the beer selection was excellent. Our server, a lovely New Zealander, was amazing—so attentive, with a fun and vibrant energy that made our experience even better. She was incredibly helpful, and honestly, she deserves a raise! I highly recommend The Pint Shop—definitely worth a visit!"

Modern Pub Working hard to write reviews for the Cambridge pubs therefore entered this restaurant. The restaurant is much bigger than I expected. The modern style attracts a lot of young customers. The portion sizes are quite small in terms of the prices. It's not the cheapest pub in the town centre. The food had slightly higher quality than Bath House, Eagle and Baron of Beef. But more expensive than them. But it looks very modern and clean, with big toilets. The service was good. As a reminder, this pub didn't provide chicken Sunday Roast on the day I visited. I suggest you check the menu in case you really want to have chicken Sunday Roast.

Set over three floors. Downstairs is set up well with a bar, and a big selection of real ales. The restaurant was particularly uncomfortable with old wooden small chairs. Service was fast and efficient. Sadly the food was over cooked with the pork being a very small plate for a main meal. We expected more , with 4 drinks and 4 mains coming to £120, better seating and quality food would make the experience more enjoyable. Sadly we wouldn't return. To note, booking is advised. It's also very busy, and very cramped.
