Excellent food quality and a lovely designed restaurant. The blade of beef was delicious. Service did get slower as the meal went on as we waited quite some time for desserts, but our server were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was nice, a little loud at times but it was a busy lunch service. Table next to us had quite a few drinks so were quite disruptive towards the end of the meal.

Had heard of this institution and as I trained as a nurse in 70s at Addenbrookes, wanted to visit for old times sake. Beautiful surroundings, tasteful furnishings. Shame no one playing piano. Wish I'd brought music with me! Food excellent. Main course of salmon and haddock fishcakes perfect temperature. Ideal sized portions for lunch. Attentive service. Would have appreciated a slice of lemon in jug of water, which sadly was tepid.

Lovely atmosphere, especially for the Christmas period. The restaurant was quite busy but service was very good and attentive. Food felt a little overpriced and a it is hit and miss - the braised beef did not meet the expectations but fish platter was delicious
