4.0in the last weekStayed here last night, used a buy a gift voucher. When booking online it only let you book if you paid the extra £24 for breakfast so bear this in mind when booking with vouchers. Check in was quick. We were in the courtyard rooms. Clean and spacious but do need updating, especially the bathroom, mould around the shower screen and cracked woodwork. Bed was huge but a bit hard for my liking but comfy enough. Room was fine for a night or two, everything you need. The thermal spa and pool was really lovely, tho you do have to book a slot and I'd advise doing this prior to arriving. Was a lovely addition to the stay. Breakfast was good, service was prompt. Choice of continental options but can also order a hot option. Very tasty and served quickly. Overall, a nice stay.

3.0in the last weekUnfortunately the place has gone seriously downhill since my last visit. The spa was overcrowded and not relaxing. Each room in the spa was cold and the only way to warm up was by going into the overcrowded infinity pool. The room itself was nice but was dated. I did not get a good sleep due to the hardness of the bed but this is personal preference. However another reason for my lack of sleep was people shouting in the corridor. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal which was lovely. Staff were helpful of our dietary requirements and everything was labelled well. Overall it was an ok stay but very overpriced for what the product actually is.

2.0in the last weekDisappointing from start to finish. My friends and I always loved staying at the Last Drop every year, it was a huge highlight for us, always a great experience. This year was terrible and we all left incredibly disappointed. We checked in online but arrived to a check-in queue that snaked outside the building, online check in didn’t count for anything but shaving down the check in time from 5 minutes to 4. We get to the room, only one set of towels in a double room - an easy mistake to make, but it doesn’t help that there was a set of soiled towels and empty drink cans in the cupboard. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly. We went to reception to request more towels, they advised they would come to the room instead of us taking them there and then. We waited for a shower as housekeeping took around an hour to bring the towels. We don’t expect people to run out of their way immediately, but after mentioning that the room had soiled towels in it, we would like to think it would be a priority so we could have a shower. Prior to an event we were attending that evening, we went to iron our shirts, the iron left my shirt stained with marks over from a dirty iron. The room was a complete downgrade from last year which was spacious and welcoming, but this year we were in a different type of room in the cottages it would seem. In the morning we went for breakfast which has always been a key highlight. We were seated and went to get some hot food from the buffet, normally a help-yourself arrangement with loads of great bits. Sadly it was empty and they were doing orders instead. It took around half an hour to get someone to take our order, and another half an hour for it to arrive. I ordered sausage bacon and eggs. After around an hour from arriving for breakfast, the food in the photo arrived, which I thought was a very stingy portion. Because it took so long from our 9.30am arrival, it ran over the checkout time of 11am, and we came back to the room to see housekeeping keen to clean the room whilst we were quickly getting packed and finished. We’re going to look for alternate accommodation for our next stay. It may have been a poor weekend and might not be representative of the new norm, but for just short of £300, we’re not willing to take the risk, and wouldn’t recommend you do either.
