    Booked a table online for Christmas Day for 5 people it asked for a deposit of £50 which I was happy to pay however the website wasn’t working properly which was probably a crash so I called to make sure they got the booking I was asked to prepay the meals with 48hours which again I didn’t mind doing so on the same day I drove 30 minutes to the restaurant to pay and I was told the price was £60 per person this was not listed on their website and wasn’t told about the price when I called so I asked to cancel the booking when I was informed it was just the price for the carvery on its own when it would cost £20 on a normal day the manager was lovely and tried giving me my deposit back however she was informed I would have to contact HR which I did they replied once and said the deposit is non refundable as listed on their website when I informed them It did not when I was booking because there was a crash on their website which is why I originally called to verify they got my booking they stopped replying I was expecting the prices to be higher for Christmas but not £60 for once carvery on it’s own. Would not recommend to anyone after this incident as I am now £50 down this close to Christmas!! Absolute joke, the company needs to fix their priorities and learn to handle problems better.

    We had a large family booking and were hoping for a family table. Unfortunately we ended up spread over 9 tables, with half of us sat with our backs to each other. The staff at some points seemed rather stern but it was kinda understandable as they were busy. The food itself was OK not great but ok, more than one or two of us found some of it very dry including the meat. Overall not the best visit but we have stayed here a few times before and not really had any issues

    The waitress Tilly who served us was very friendly and extremely polite, she was accommodating of every need and made sure we were well taken care of. Definitely made my experience better and encouraged me to visit again. Staff should all strive to be as welcoming as Tilly. The food was also great!
