Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful on our first visit. The food was great, and they came to check everything was as we wanted, and we were happy. There was a friendly conversation, and as we were leaving, they wished us a safe journey and a good holiday. We went there on route to our ferry crossing. At first, we thought it was a way off our route, but it was close to get back on route and well worth the stop.

Visited on Good Friday, so prices were premium. I don't have a problem with that. Service was a tad slow, but the staff were all very pleasant. The carvery was well above average for a Toby (not a fan usually), almost every item was well cooked and very tasty. And those Yorkshire puds were HUUUUGE! A few niggles. The London Pride ale was nothing to be proud of. Beef (as usual) was not the best. And much to the wife's horror there was no crackling. Bill was £72 for 3 carvery, 3 puds and 3 drinks. Carvery was £15 each as opposed to £10 due to it being Good Friday. But I get that. Was grateful they were open in the first place.
