    UPDATE We were invited back for the complimentary meal as offered below, and the experience was much better. Service was great and efficient, food came out quickly, it was hot and very tasty. Atmosphere was great. Grateful for the offer of the complimentary meal as it totally made up for the previous visit. Thank you. So I have came here for my birthday meal, as I have previously been here and really enjoyed it. But i’ve got to say me and my friend were incredibly unhappy, and would definitely not choose to come here for a special occasion again, or even again to be honest! We sat down to a fire beside us, which was then turned of, leaving behind an incredibly cold seating area, to the point where I had to leave my jacket on because it was cold in there. We ordered food, it takes 50 mins to come out, and when it did it was pretty much completely cold, had obviously been sat there waiting to come out for some time. My friend ordered the mac and cheese and it was truly an absolute robbery of money, £14 for practically two spoons of pasta, and a bowl of sauce, which not to mention, was cold. My burger was barely warm, didn’t feel fresh at all. We sent the mac and cheese back for it to come out 2 mins later clearly just microwaved, still not hot. I’ll insert a picture. Really disappointed as the pub has potential with its atmosphere and interior, just a huge let down tonight.

    Came for a birthday celebration and I have to say, the venue is nice and cosy and the staff were nice enough but I don’t think the food was the best. I had a burger which was ok but a bit dry but my husband had the roast chicken and it was really pink in the middle so he couldn’t eat it. My brother in law had the same and his was pink too. I don’t think we will be returning.

    Lovely place to eat and have a drink. Been here before for the beer masterclass and enjoyed it so decided to go again to start our day out in Lichfield. Would definitely recommend. Great selection of drinks and lovely staff.
