Another relaxing, comfortable weekend away. We come here, minimum of 3 times a year, for Birthdays and our anniversary. Excellent rooms, incredible staff and wonderful bar and grill. We occasionally look at other options in Aberdeen but Malmaison always gets our booking for the quality of staff, restaurant, bar, rooms and walk into the city centre. The entire team here are a credit to the Malmaison family and a big part of what secures our continued patronage.

Check your bank statement after visiting this hotel.. We should have been charged £129.25 and have the invoice which is correct however hundreds of pounds taken from our account without approval. The manager said it was human error and said they will sort it yesterday only to take even more money from us today.. Shocking that they can take money which they are not due. The mess only gets worse along with the stress..So much for a relaxing night away.. Be warned.... I have unfortunately had to put this review on a public platform as we still have a wait of a pending payment to be resolved. .. Sorry if the hotel is not happy about this but it's been stressful.Martin the manager should understand as he's made us aware a similar thing happened to him on holiday.. Also I thought these platforms were there to give a true reflection.. Friends and family were shocked at the hotel's lack of understanding.. We are almost 70 years old and having to deal with this is ridiculous.

Review of the Restaurant (Visited on Christmas Eve): The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. The service was exceptional, with dishes being brought out simultaneously for everyone at the table. Courses were well-timed, allowing us to enjoy each one at a relaxed pace. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes to cater to different tastes, and the dessert menu was equally diverse, providing plenty of options to choose from. A thoughtful touch was the Christmas crackers provided for each guest, adding to the festive spirit. I also appreciated the thick fabric handkerchiefs provided for our laps, which added a touch of elegance. As for the food, it was outstanding. Each dish was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were just right—generous without being overwhelming. The overall quality and attention to detail made the meal thoroughly enjoyable. While the prices are relatively high compared to other restaurants in Aberdeen, this is understandable given the high-end experience offered. If you’re looking for a premium dining experience, this restaurant is worth it. I would definitely return, as the food and overall experience were truly delightful. The restroom was clean, neatly maintained, and thoughtfully decorated, making it a pleasant and comfortable space to use.
